They are the best investments I have made to date.
Nicholas Yap read 40 books in a year to bring his trading knowledge up to the next level. Conrad Alvin Lim picked up all resources he could find: books, internet, seminars etc after he had set his objective to be a trader. And if you follow the story of Singapore’s youngest self-made millionaire, Adam Khoo, from his books “Secrets of Self-made Millionaires” and “Secrets of Millionaire Investors”, before he set out to do anything, he would get his hands on all available books out there related to his goals to get re-educated before he embarks on his journey. Another girl from Singapore has created another feat: by reading 320 books at the age of 9 and has written a book to teach other children how to do it :).
Robert Kiyosaki advocates that the first step to take to be financially-free is to re-educate. Schools never teach us how to make money or invest money for that matter. So we got to learn it ourselves. But so many people had done it, so we can learn from their experiences and don’t re-invent the wheel. Hopefully, we can avoid some of the mistake they made before and attain our goals faster.
I feel good when I am reading for a purpose - to brush up my knowledge so that I can use the knowledge to make money :). I finally know why I don’t like reading in school (excuses…excuses…excuses…:P). Even if I have failed in my attempt, I am much wiser than before. So no reading has gone to waste. Investing in my brain really reaps me returns of over 1000%.
I have created a page titled “Learn Options” to share the books that I have been reading. Do feel free to leave your comments or contact me to discuss if you happen to be reading or have read any of the books :).
Update on 14 Jun 07: I have changed the name of the page from “Learn Options” to “Books” so that things are more straight to the point
Also to make my top menu look nicer ![]()
