I have read alot about stock cycles, elections etc. I have not really considered it as part of my investment strategy but it does make sense. Have you seen any real world applications and results from this?

Meanwhile, I will be reading up.

Hi OptionNewbie, in my own opinion, the historical data merely provides a rough guide for me to put money into the market, especially when I am looking at longer term investments. So that I have a higher chance of reaping a better profit. Events like the Santa Claus rally are so widely publicized and acknowledged to the extent that there may be some level of self-fulfilling prophecy too :D

You must have been seeing too much red all over the place … must have triggered the fever!! (kidding!)

Take care and get well soon. Can’t trade if you can’t think clearly for all the heat in the head.

Cheers!

Many thanks Simply Options Trader, OptionNewbie and Conrad for your well wishes. I am back =) Ya, it is my trading rule to not to trade when I am not feeling well. But I still followed the market for the last few weeks, didn’t want to miss out on any market action!
