So JMOT, since you attended his seminar. Is this guy for real?
He is making millions selling seminars, his trading record is not verifiable. And comments around his seminars are basically touching on options basics, not truly useful for practical trading instead of truly on trading systems that give consistent profit. Will like to hear your comments

I’m very sure he is a very good presenter, but how about trader?
No record showing it is workable.
Many people advertise day in and day out with option trading, futures, etc.
There are so many Dr. Chiang-alike people out there, what make him so special?
I get to know from my colleague, his friend attended the seminar, but find it not-so useful, and of course not making profit from the market. I’m doubt with the method.
Would you be able to tell me, as his grad, if the method works?!

Hi Sian, I admire him as a motivator, marketeer, presenter and business man from the bottom of my heart :) The things that he accomplished is way way above that of his competitors. His regular appearances on financial TV and tabloids. Organizing a high profile competition such as the Options Trading Championships (http://www.optionstradingchampionship.com/) that even some of the US stock/options exchanges are supporting, in addition to CNBC and briefing.com.

Trading-wise, I will send you an email to the email address that you have left with me :)

Hi JMOT

Can you tell me about FX1 for Forex training? What about Grace Cheng? Is she really good?

I am skeptical about all the claims made by various Forex gurus on the papers.

What do you know about Kishore? Anybody feel free to contribute please!

mygif
jmot Said,
January 14th, 2008 @5:08 pm

hi jt, mmm, think i will write an article on describing FX1’s course :) since demand is sooooo high :D Grace Cheng? She is high profile. She maintains a very popular blog at http://www.gracecheng.com. She appeared in news interviews, magazines and even published her own book. She was even interviewed by TradersInterview.com (http://www.traderinterviews.com/programs/permalinks/TI_10-09-07_GraceCheng.htm). I have no qualms about her being a good forex trader. Just that, in my personal opinion, trading is a skill which you cannot pick up fast by just reading ebooks (such as the forex course that she is offering, some more cost $1000+. I prefer to have a mentor to guide me along and tell me my mistakes.

I do not know much about Kishore. Just that when Options trading in IN, he teaches Options trading. Now that Forex is the hottest topic in town, he starts to teach forex too :D Very versatile hor indeed ><

Hi Jmot and jt

I attended one of Kishore free seminars before when option was so popular, though I agree he is a great speaker but with the feedback I got from those attended his class results are not very consistent some even making losses and not much support either with the kind of money they paying.

In fact one of his protege is now running the CFD rapid programme, which some is saying is so-so based from the preview.

I guess my personal view on Kishore is that he is Jack of all trades, as he running courses for option, futures, commodities,CFD,fx……etc
Not only that he had team up with ERC in one of the wealth program.
To me I feel he is just trying to take advantage on the current trend to pour out all this program which is not cheap, whether it works? your guess is as good as mine.

Ooops a bit long winded, just my personal veiw

upfronte Said,

Hi Francis

Thanks for your feedback on Kishore.

I got the feeling that he is beginning to sound like a Jack of all trades and jumping on the latest flavour of the month.

Probably what we need to have a a full-time trader in a specific instrument that is laser-focused. One of the biggest problems we have is that our attention span is as good as the latest strategies to make easy money.

I believed everything needs hardwork. So far, looking at what is available in Singapore for Forex training, it seems that it boils down to :

Grace Cheng - Full time forex trader
FX1 : Nothing like an institution with people mentoring you and with probably good post-training support.

In terms of value for money, I wonder is starting on Grace’s course is probably the best initiation into the world of forex trading?

Curious??

Francis Said,

Hi upfronte

I just started taking notice on FX trading as an alternative trading source beside trading in option and the Singapore stock market.

Other than the fx player as mentioned in Jmot blog, Grace Cheng got my attention recently as she appeared in CNA (not sure anyone caught that?)
Maybe Jmot could give you a better insight since he had attended FX1 courses (I know the price is steep)

Hi Francis

I went to FX1 “BOM” session last night but could not wait to get out ASAP!! To be fair, I did not attend the full session but the way it is being pitched, it rings the nostalgic days when the Nuskin, Herbal Life and all the MLM majors moved into Singapore. You can imagine I cant wait to get out as fast as possible which I did. I just want to get to the meat of what they offering but have to subject to a typical black church setting whereby patrons have to clap and say “amen” to the presenter and listen to his “sermons” and anecdotes. Sound abit harsh but sorry… I have invested in other seminars and training that are a waste of money.

They preached that they have an auto-software which works only on the USD/JPY pair. JMOT should check this out whether it really works.

Grace Cheng seems pretty genuine but then again I dont have a feedback from real people who has taken her course. She is an individual so if anything happens to her (God forbids), how can you get post-training support?

In comparing gurus, Kishore at least has made it. He provides probably greater breath of the financial markets than Grace who is only into Forex.

In comparing between training institutions such as FX1 and onlineacademy, the jury is still out until I meet with onlineacademy.

: )

Thanks for the very insightful comments by Francis and upfronte :D I have learnt a lot from the 2 of you :) You have prompted me to write a post on how to determine if a trading course is good :D

I have not received the automated software provided by FX1 actually. Going to get it end this month. Will definitely share more in time to come. Actually, the software trades on multiple currency pairs. The manual strategy is the one that trades on USD/JPY solely.

Hi Jmot

Just a quick check are you aware there is this guranteed by FX1 ?
In actual fact this guranteed only applies to the demo account for USD/JPY, sound a bit weird.

Got this info from a guy who attended the course while I was researching about FX1 over the net (there are so much info you could find out over the net, that is how I stumble onto your blog)

Hi Francis, yes, there is a 6 month money back guarantee. After the course, we are to start a demo account to trade with the strategy that was taught. At the end of 6 months, if the demo account lose money, the school claims that they will refund full course fee with 10% interest. The only clauses are to trade only with the strategy taught, same lot size for all trades and minimum 40 trades per month.

Hi jmot :

Nice blog you have.

I’m from Batch 14 and it’s been almost 2 years since I traded options, mainly using his earnings gapping analysis.

My very frank view is : trading option with earnings gapping analysis is not easy. Since it’s rather difficult to predict the direction of the gapping after earnings announcement correctly, you definitely need more information to increase your probability of anticipating the direction correctly in addition of what you’ve learned in the course.

I find that this crucial factor is your familiarity with the company background by following the company’s business activities and development, earnings performance for at least a few quarters and to observe the price pattern of the stock price very closely ie. at what circumstances price tend to break out or drop. It’s too risky trading earnings gapping by guessing whether a company would gap up or down after earnings without even knowing in-depth of the company does or the knowing the price behavior of the stock price.

Tony Chai

yes, i agree that really a in-depth knowledge of the company as well as how the analysts and traders feel about the company is necessary to play gaps. but there are sooo many companies out there and so much information about every company. to really get a good grasp of a company’s internal health is really not simple.

btw, i have long visited your blog before when i first started out on options :) keep that winning spirit up!

Hi jmot, heard a lot of stuff from this blog, truly useful and tons of good feedback. Thanks.

I’m a newbie and looking to start doing some small-scale trading to supplement my income. Am exploring whether stock options or forex. Did a lot of research online and seems to favour forex, but not ruling out stock options.

jmot, can you advise on which are the better forex and stock options courses that I could attend. I know they cost a bomb and so I got only one shot. So far from what I’ve heard, Freely is the best choice for stock options, and FX1 is the best for forex.

jmot, can you pls provide more detailed insight to both so I can make a decision? Or is there better courses out there that you would recommend? Such as Momentum Asia (forex) and T3B Systems (stock options).

Many thanks in advance.

hi RT, thanks for your compliments. really glad to be able to help. seriously, in my personal opinion after learning forex and futures. i really find these 2 instruments way much simpler than options and even stocks. i mean forex and futures are way easy to pick up, with the right mentoring that is.

i have not heard anything about MomentumAsia. for T3B, i heard from a classmate that the strategies do work (at least!) and that they are more for longer term investments. i heard they rolled out futures classes recently. interesting! downside is there is a charting software with some proprietary indicators that students have to buy and pay regular fees for. like to just qualify that the above regarding T3B is what i heard from my friend…

of course there are better courses out there. let me drop you an email with the details…let me know if you have received.

Francis Said,

Hi RT and Jmot

Maybe I can shed some light to some of the question.

MomentumAsia:
The trainer is Tobin who was a FX trader with a bank before venturing out on his own. The feedback I got he teaches mostly on how to read candle-sticks to determine your entry and exit point (like the various types of candles…..), it was said it has quite a high drop-out rate among its student which I feel not many people can master the art of reading candle-sticks!! Moreover he runs a very small outfit and the class size is pretty small, it has a forum for students to engage in (but hear there really not much activity going on). My personal take there are better fx courses in the market which I believe Jmot will share with you.

T3B:
I’m a student of T3B(Jan 07), T3B was originally forcuse on Spore stock market only, right now the option course is not open to public and is only meant for fellow students (but will open to public soon) which I’ll be attending tom. So far the charting system does work in fact I just earned back my option fees recently, in regard in the charting system you pay a small subscription fee (I paid S$240) for the duration of one year which you can renew later on, which include live data feed from the stock market . Right now T3B had changed a more web-based charting system which I believed is much expensive as I’m still using the old system.T3B also started fx course for the public recently by this Clarence Cheng, right now can’t comment until I witness for myself.

My advise, decide which asset class (FX, stock option, commodities/futures) you keen on, since each is different in terms of risk exposure (and profit of course) and most importantly ask yourself can you take risk or the volatility of the market, cos there are people who don’t like FX as it is too fast, while there are others who don’t like stock option as it is too slow.

Ooops too long winded.
Hope this help and once again just my personal view.

Cheers
Franics

Hi jmot :

Thanks for your words of encouragement.

It’s rather difficult to trade options when trading capital are limited but I’m still hanging on and refining my skills as I gain more trading experiences. I’ve also become more stringent and more selective in my trade selection as a result. But this has trained me to avoid trading randomly and to commit my fund only to those trades which would yield me higher probability of success & worthwhile in terms of the risk/rewards ratio.

Can I also request for your frank opinion of the Freely Course and the Fx1 course to be sent to my email.

Thanks and Wishing you a Prosperous Lunar New Year in advance.

Hi jmot,

I attend the preview by Clarence Chee from T3B with an open mind.

Clarance has conducted about 8 batches of training. He started trading since 1994 and has gone through the currency crisis hump.

His presentation is very engaging and he walk us through his some of his strategies but placed emphasis on the “me” factor and not the methods.

Of all the presentation I have seen, the way he presented makes it very easy to explain more advanced analysis even for the preview!

I sign up for the course starting this weekend and will provide feedback. I think it will be useful for us to sharing varying experience.

I am one of the Batches and graduated from 2005 and have been trading since end 2005.

Well, for me, I guess consistency is an issue, the methods are just perhaps not suitable for me. I wonder if it works, and how many “millionaires” have been created….

As for the methods taught, I guess for some “millionaires”, it works but I believe the missing word is “CONSISTENCY”

I feel that some methods taught cannot “Hold water” and cannot be sustainable or proven over time….

I have started learning FX and find it much more comfortable for Traders in Singapore due to the Time Zone.

Please email me your review of FX1 as I am very keen to attend.

Thank you very much!

Hi,

I am like many singaporeans trying to learn to trade by attending seminars since 2003 that sprung up like mushrooms. I would say I am cheated/mislead) by the seminar I attended. Basically the trainer go through theory but not really how to make money trading. After 4 years since 2003 I am still not making money, I find Trading is not a walk in the park and you can lose all your money as I have found out. I want to forewarn those naive singaporeans about those dangerous half-truth seminars where the trainer seems more a motivational speaker than a trader.

My criteria now for trading seminars is
1) the trainer himself managing a fund and has a verfiable track record
2) the trainer is not making most of his money selling seminars but from fund management
3) teaches trading systems not a generic bunch of options theory
4) Excellent post-seminar support and training, contactable
can offer a trading program that last months not just a weekend
(Trading needs not months but years to achieve proficiency)
5) Seminar attendents are making consistent profits from trading systems(Not trading theory) taught

Hi Jmot, sure use my criteria. You are doing singaporeans a favour. I don’t see any singaporeans with the guts to give a frank review of trading seminars. You display a lot of potential for a newbie. I would recommend toni turner series of books that turn around my trading. SDG50 bucks for a complete treatment of retail trading for beginners.

http://www.toniturner.com. She emphasis trading plan and mastering one setup at a time. Add more when one has mastered it consistently. My present setup to master is the simple trendline bounce/break. That’s all.
And keeping a trading journal which she calls the gift that keeps giving.

Hi Jmot,

far from it, as I said I am not making money yet(have not passed the tuitions fees the market asked of me). I read Mark Crisp ‘7 Habits of Highly Successful Traders’ in 2005 not Optionetics Tom Gentiles 7 Habits. It took 2 years for what Mark Crisp said to sink in. I am also a reader of Greeksman and traded his BMIC. The problem is a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. I lost money on BMIC because it was not suited to my trading psychology and temperament. You can see greeksman is the ultimate patient trader. You can see it in his kind and patient replies in his board and forums.

I want to warn new traders not to take a black box approach to the gurus teachings. Markets conditions always change. You have to recognise and react to it. During this Jan is extremely volatile. Yet I am not affected.
It boils down to experience and learning.

Last, I definitely DO NOT want to say I trade this do that do this. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Like learning to trade earnings gaps.
Learn the basics well and build your own trading style.

Hi, I’m new to trading and glad to have found your blog. Do you mind dropping me an e-mail regarding your views on dr.Clemen’s seminar and T3B trader. Any insight on the effectiveness of the T3B charting system on Indonesian market? Do you know any other better course for a beginner like me? I only have very limited budget, and there are many trading courses to choose from out there. Appreciate very much your reply.

hi KevinF, got 3 friends who reflected that the T3B stocks system makes money. downside is got to pay subscription for the software. got a friend commented that the system is a black box. so doesnt really teach you trading but ask u to trade based on the stocks recommended by the black box. you judge for yourself.

looking at the syllabus, i find Online Trading Academy’s stock course quite comprehensive. but course fees are quite steep i was told. anyone can verify?

Is the course good for beginners like me? Could you please give

Hi,

I intend to take up the T3B Trading course. I am newbie in trading and would like to start from T3B Systems. I have attended the 2 hours free preview conducted by Keane Lee, he is logical and persausive.

So not sure you guys have any trading experience with T3B Systems, it is truly profitable consistently and able to sustainable ?

I have also attended other seminar like Mirriam MacWilliams from Wealth Academy, Freely Business School, and Online Trading Academy, but the cost are simply too high and i am not able to afford to pay those fees .

T3B is relatively cheaper, is $SGD3,388, allow 24 months interest free installation using POSB or DBS visa Credit Card to pay.

SO it advisable for me, as an newbie, without any prior experience of trading of stocks, futures, options or fx , it is good starting point to learn T3B Systems to trade local Singapore stocks before venture to trade options or fx ??

Keane Lee, have said in his 2 hours free preview, that if you can’t conquer your own backyard, what make you think you can conquer somebody backyard ? If you are not able to trade profitable in the local stable , slow-moving Singapore stock market, what make you think you are able to profit from the fast and high market volatility, in trading stock options in US stock market ?

So i am thinking to start in local singapore stock market first …..

Any advise or comment ?

hi Ray and James, hv sent you my comments via your emails…

mygif
jmot Said,

hi Raymond, feedback from a couple of friends who attended T3B is that the system does work and is making some money for them. of course, there are another handful who say it doesnt work as well (as with any other courses).

dont merely look at course fees. i heard T3B students are required to subscribe to this charting software and are to pay subscription regularly. of course, the educator will tell you that you will more than enough $$ to cover the fees…

for me, i used to think that singapore stock market is a difficult one to play in. its ill-liquidity as the main reason, which also makes it easily manipulated by big players. that is, until i met a guru during the last Singapore Aspiring Traders’ meetup that trades mainly in the Singapore stock market and is making a handsome profit from it daily!

i mean, dont be waivered by all those marketing talk out there. do the your own research. ask around. and don’t be in a haste to sign up.

Hi,

I have also attended, seminar conducted by the followings :-
(1) Chief Trainer, Mirriam MacWilliams (Option trading in US markets) conducted by Wealth Academy

(2) Concept of Price (trading in E-mini Russell 2000 index) conducted by Marcus Tay

(3) Adam Khoo Wealth Academy (also with US stocks and options trading)

(4) Optionetics Financial Academy (teach US stocks and options trading)

(5) Online Trading Academy (covers US stocks, options trading and FX)

Any students have attended any of the above-mentioned courses, are they or any one of them profitable ?

They are in common that their course fees are very steep , except Marcus Tay Concept of Price, which cost about SGD$3,200 .

Looking for feedbacks from you guys .

Coz as what i heard from other’s pro trader, Dr. CC method is not credible, NOT CONSISTENT, and more like gambling with little basic yet CRUCIAL knowledge has been taught, e.g greeks. Sad to hear that.
I believe every trader should been taught with a comprehensive open method so that ones can delevop themself and use with their method which they are comfortable with in line with their own personality.

As for T3B trading system, i believe it may earn profit BUT small percentage over time. AND i’m very disagree and dissapointed that they encouraged ppl to short sell in this few years which is SUPERRR DANGERR (never do it!)

I am interested to get that “top secret” email from you concerning your comments on Clemen Chiang’s all-so-expensive options trading course. Is it useful, or just another scam? His resume doesn’t show that he has real practical experience in options trading - more motivational stuff which hinges on “talk”.

And his PhD…. it’s from Preston University - an infamous degree mill which dishes out PhDs for paying overseas students. Which makes me very very suspicious (why would anyone credible want a PhD from a degree mill?)

Hi was just wondering if any of you have any feedback after attending clemen’s class ? i just signed for his class and is extremely confused after the seminar as another speaker speaks against options trading. i saw some of your comments that options trading is not easy… is that correct and what’s the investment that we are expected to put into the actual trade ? 300 to open an account was what i gather.. but the buying of option wise ? i saw saw one option was at $32 what’s our cost to pick up this option can someone advise

mygif
jmot Said,
May 2nd, 2008 @2:21 pm

hi limbt, a starting capital of $300 is not very useful. firstly, it will be wiped out in 1 or 2 trades if you are not careful. when the option price is $32, you will need to fork out $3200 to buy 1 contract (is that Google?)!! take care, take care…

hi david, the hint is already there…let me give another hint…even the BEST traders in US are trying to achieve around 20% return on their capital annually. so is it possible to have few thousand % profit EVERY TIME or even MOST OF THE TIME?

hi Nino, i understand your predicament…till i find a better way to do this…you can go check out other courses. Click under “Courses” link from my top menu to get a comprehensive list.

Reading these posts with interest and jmot’s sudden decision not to send out his personal views on CC’s seminars.
I attended CC”s courses whilst still in the single digits (now it’s exceeded 55th intake). I have not traded as I have not managed to spend time to study options and apply the techniques using paper money. CC is an incredible motivator and speaker and fantastic marketeer with sound business principles. He is a classic example of a person with grit and determination to make it big at a very young age.
I make it a point to attend his graduates’ gatherings in Malaysia. Whilst we pay a small fee, the benefits we receive are tremendous. He shares tips on which companies/stocks *may* make it big (nothing is guaranteed in this world) and then goes on to show how this may be achieved. Statements are backed with solid facts and credentials. The results of winning posts are sent in by students who trade options based on the recommended companies.
Go to the website, take a look at the thousands of testimonials praising CC on the deliverance of the seminar.
Everything in life is risky. It is important not to let greed get in the way when the winning strike is up. Follow the guidelines taught with strict discipline. If options is considered too risky, consider making tons of money the conventional approach - selling insurance. I know of people who earn RM 500,000 per year after 10 years in the business and having teams who bring in the sales. Making money-the conventional way.

Hi guys. Since there was so much interest in frank opinion on Dr. Clemen Chiang’s Freely Method, here is some from a batch 55 student!

His course mainly focuses on “Stock Replacement Strategy” ONLY for options and earnings release. The first speaks for itself, your education WILL NOT be comprehensive. As for the 2nd. indeed earnings can present huge moves but the moves are crazy and unpredictable. The only reason he uses it is he definitely makes his marketing job a lot more easier! Like it was mentioned, seasoned investors will know that such a “strategy” is as good as playing roulette.

We had also requested that he share his trades and provide his comments so that we may accelerate our learning. For those who know him will probably chuckle at this…. i.e. he only replied “DO NOT GIVE UP” crap. So my conclusion is simple, his income does not come from trading options. He does present himself with sincerity and credentials but again why would he not? Each student is contributing to his Sentosa Cove home.

Finally, for those who have signed up and is starting to regret, remember, Singapore law dictates a “cooling off period” whereby you have the right to ask for a refund. I believe it is 3 working days? Alternatively, you can bail out of the first day of the course, i.e. if Freely still has the guts to keep to their claim of a full refund after the first day.

Really finally, I agree with JMOT that Optionetics seem quite a cool place to take up options. They have some kind of guarantee to make back the school fees in ACTUAL TRADING or else they give a full refund. I have not attended but I figure that at least there is a guarantee. Nonetheless, for those who are more independepent, just check out “Think or Swim”, “Briefing”, “Investopedia” & “CNBC”. These are FREEEEEEEEEE…..

Hi Jmot, nice work. I respect your decision to stop sharing your comments, but maybe you could let us know whether the FX1 auto trade software worked as well as claimed for you, after minusing the 25% of the profit that goes to FX1. I believe this would be sharing a fact rather then a comment. Tks!

Beware the the so-called Most Powerful on Planet Earth is actually a high-risk trading method and you can lose all or most of your capital. The 2 other technique of setting a spread and intraday trading doesn’t constitute a full trading system or how to trade. And the repair strategy taught has its flaws. Check from other seminar attendances and the experience of the trainer and actually do your seminar trainer is actually managing a fund and is making money from trading, not making a lot of money selling seminars by packing hundreds of people into hotel ballrooms. Be aware you will take at least a few years to be a intermediate trader and there are a lot of risk and effort in trading. If someone tells u trading is easy. Good Luck you have set your self on the path of losing all your capital and destroying your life.

Hi I am new to this Options Trading thingie.
I have recently attended 2 Intro workshops on Options. One of them is the freely method. Can anyone provide me some guidances and advices whether I should sign up for it?
The speaker in the workshop claims that there will not be any software to buy, no other advanced courses to go to. It was priced at SGD68xx, but if people sign up on the spot can get it for only ~SGD3000 (that’s more than a 50% discount !!). Price also includes free accommodation plus an upcoming seminar (by some famous speaker) worth 2-3k, with free accommodation as well. Look very attractive to me !!
But is his method really that simple (as it gives me the impression that it is) and if a person just follow it, he will get rich?? I am a bit skeptical, therefore would like to hear any opinions from you all.
Thanks.

For someone want to come and learn how to trade.
I say forget about 3-4 day $3-4K seminars, half of them are bogus and are only making the seminar trainers rich. One good resource is
http://www.greeksman.com and his forum. You can see good testimony of bogus seminars with no after-seminar support.
Jmot has also already posted many valuable trading resources in his blog. Others include swing-trade-stocks.com investopedia.com, incrediblecharts.com, tradergav.com, maoxian.com, tradermike.com(links under trading)

After 3-4 months of reading, you have an idea what is what, what is options, what is futures, what is technical analysis, what is fundamental analysis, what is the greeks, who are the bastard trainers, who to listen to. Then look around for a real mentor. Or start paper trading to see what trading is all about.

3 years to be an intermediate trader and XX years to be a expert trader who can read the markets, handle their emotions and set their trading systems. Note you may never be one. Only 5% of those who try out trading reach this status.

That stupid options trainer of mine send me on a 4 year wild goose chase. And read Conrad Alvin’s blog of his own experience with seminars and it’s the basics that matter..And his first trainer is the…..

Hi everyone,

Been to one options lesson. Cut things short, these people get rich with no risks at all from the fees they charge. If the strategies are really good, there simply isn’t any need at all to teach for a living. You can get very good free educational strategies that works well from the internet. I’m now solely trading options with non-directional strategies eg iron condors, calendars, OTM verticals spreads etc. Yields are not outstanding but definitely better than any investment schemes from the banks. You can get ~ 5 to 10% per month with good risk management.

IMO. Save your money. Dun waste it on seminar. There are books that cover more information than what they are teaching. $3000 per course? Might as well buy some stocks in the market, at least you still own something in the end.

mygif
jmot Said,
July 8th, 2008 @4:32 pm

IMHO, books do cover a lot more, but sometimes too much! books made me go round and round sometimes. also need to pick the right books!

mygif
trader Said,
July 10th, 2008 @8:22 pm

Books give only the introductory info. But it is still 100% better than bogus seminars that teaches the wrong things/or bogus stuff (like make 1million from 5K, trading is easy) and set you 10K back in losses and you must bear the pain to start all over again and face the fact why you are so stupid. Best is to find a good real mentor. As said thousand time above. Find someone who makes a living trading, manages a fund and gives 4-5 months of trading course because he knows one weekend of trading doesn’t makes a trader. Small Classes. Compare to 100s packed into hotel rooms with no post support at all. Remember its your money at stake. Trading is risky and requires a lot of effort. I still don’t know why people are still flocking to bogus seminars but a sucker is born every minute. And the Dr does prove money can be made from ignorance.

mygif
jmot Said,
July 10th, 2008 @9:48 pm

some books do give very in-depth discussion. sometimes too in-depth and i suffer from paralysis from analysis :) i like the phrase: ” we don’t know what we don’t know”. that’s the fallacy with the courses out there and why people are flocking to the seminars…the seminars do have their benefits, like quickstart lessons for us to start trading, allowing us to join a communities where we can learn from each other…sometimes i guess its the mentality of the students that is the weakest link. we want to look for the “best”, the one that can help us “become millionaire”. you are right, there is no one course that can let us become professional traders overnight!

mygif
trader Said,
July 10th, 2008 @10:28 pm

Keep up the good work and spirit. I mean books does not translate to practical trading. One still need long time of practice and hard lessons from Mr Market and hence mentorship is the best. Trading principles are generally available anywhere. My stop losses now are SGD1000 a trade. I have 3~5 trades usually ongoing. Who without at least 3~5 years of trading can hold their own when your account is fluctuating 3-5K.

mygif
jmot Said,
July 11th, 2008 @6:23 pm

well guys who might be dazzled by clemen (Freely)’s marketing. If there is anything to learn from him is his kok n bull in distorting facts to his advantage so that he can sell a product. His constant ability to suck more money out of individuals is also admirable. As for trading options? I believe your education will be more comprehensive elsewhere. Would you expect anything more from a person with a PhD from “PRESTON UNIVERSITY”? Please google Preston and you will know what I mean. In today’s Straits Times special report, Clemen Chiang admitted he paid $18,000 for his highly dubious PhD degree from Preston University, an unaccredited institution, or in other words, a “virtual” university. He said he is maintaining the Dr in his name, as he helps his business!!! Is there law and morality still? Would you believe such a guy???

Be careful of things when they look good. He is a good marketer and illusionist, convincing you to part with your hard-earned money, by creating greed and fear using half-truths. The reason why he is a successful entrepreneur is because there are so many fools around.

And the course fee are not high, the best thing i like , they also trade and can have a better feel about the staragey use in diff mkt.

Just to share

nightfalc Said,

Hi Pansy,

I for one was from the 55th batch of Freely suckers and the only reason why he has survived so long is in fact coz he is a good marketeer. He has identified that in the realm of investment, there are many suckers who are willing to throw hard earned money his way for a promise that greater returns are around the corner. I can testify to that coz I was one such sucker.

He uses religion and charity to demonstrate his integrity, he uses purchased education to prove his credibility, exaggerates market occurrences to get you excited and intimidates & ostracizes if one raises anything to the contrary. Frankly, I applaud his “brilliance” but it is not a common man who can master such a feat as it is a man without a conscience who can. I am glad I had a manager who once taught me that all the money in the world will never buy back one’s integrity.

Frankly, the worth of the course is: http://www.investopedia.com, http://www.briefing.com & not investing more than 5% of your capital in any one trade. Here you have it for FREEEEEEEE. He really teaches nothing as you will be paying him money to hear him talk about his “achievements”. I think Day 2 was dedicated to it.

Freely is essentially buying options around earnings report of a company. Anyone who is experienced will know such a idea is “crap shoot” and pure gambling. On top of that, there is something called a “volatility crush” which lowers your option price right after such a report, something which Clemen will never mention. There is absolutely no predictability even though Clemen will make it all sound logical but it is logical only coz he is talking to a group of trading newbies. In conclusion, I would not have spent that money on his course if given a 2nd chance.

mygif
13monkey Said,
August 31st, 2008 @12:44 pm

Hi Jomt

Yes, i did attend the fx course.

Hmm…. i did not know what kind of sound strategy that can be find in the internet, so cannot commnets, what i have been taught was very down to earth TA strategy, support resistant , moving ave, stoch , fibo and usage of different timeframe, that i can also not only apply this on FX , but also in different intruments like stock , commodity…… unlike most of them to follow a system or signal from blackbox, and one cool thing can either do short terms in 5 -30min exit and entry or swing trade depends on each trading style , i was all the while scalping type . but now i prefer enjoy swing trade with clear entry and exit.

But i can say trading in up to each one preferences, during my course there are one couples wife is totally new and husband are qutie long trading in the stock market, but in forex the wife was doing better returns than the husband…

the good : small class, if any thing don’t understand they will explained until u got it , or during break time theyt will come to u personally and guide u along ;

very technical intact once u master is with u for life and could trade in any market no hoo haa strategy that promised you with one day can make 10000000000 hehe , or claims that they have the best ( infact we have a competiton during our course the highers hit was 195 pips for a newbie from NUS andgot $300 sponser by terreseeds ) but pratical.

nothing to shout abt but with support after the course and trade with the class mates for the three session

personal touch, will come to fine tune what is the good plans for the newbies and those who have the bad trading habits ( sad to says most of the bad habits are those who use break peak and break through….using in the black box or jump gun method )

the bad

The support class after the course was a bit messy , or i should say un-organised it mostly happen on the night tuesday the thursday, will trade on news and trade with the news to have a feel about how the markets react , but the trainners are trading on that night so some
newbie do not have a clue what is happening

thats only my personal comments on it, afterall as for myself i do benifits from this course, as i am trading full time i like to see how can i got better returns from fx than the boring singapore stk mkt ….haha

cheers

I congratulate ST Senior Writer Sandra Davie for exposing businessmen such as Chandroo and most importantly Clemen Chiang as a fraud.

Clemen in particular openly uses his PhD/Doctoral qualification to boost his credentials and recruit students for his courses.

Now that his PhD is proven to be from Preston University, a degree mill university, he should openly apologies to the public and the various media entity such as Business Times, CAN, CNBC and many others that he has been able to manipulate to give him the publicity as published widely in his website at http://www.freely.com

He has no shame when openly admitted that he got his PhD in 16 months. This is unprecedented and no reputable university would award such as doctoral qualification. He should get his doctoral supervisor who is presumably an expert in options trading to openly testify to his so called well earned qualification and published his thesis.

University of South Australia should be wary and rejected such doctoral students. Perhaps UniSA and/or APMI Kaplan Singapore being the local provider would comment.

Despite being exposed that his PhD is from a degree mill, he still advertise in the newspapers and in his website carrying his “Dr” title. This should be put to a stop!!!

It is time for the students (past and present) take him to task. He has cheated many students which resulted in him owning his bungalows at Sentosa Cove and elsewhere and many cars he owned as he always brag during his Seminar Previews.

Speak up fellow student. The time is now….

Investing is a very personal thing. It is your hard earned money.

Just go watch the market for a while and talk to experienced traders… he trades around earnings and if that is your game plan for the market, I would recommend u visit genting highlands.

hello JMOT…

I came across a very interesting avertisement in the Star paper and it was about all success stories of Dr. Clement. I would like to enquire about the effectiveness of the method by Dr. Clement…..Izzit really that powerful and effective till a certain level where we can say that we have achieved the “financial freedom” that everyone has been dreaming about?
How has the method helped you so far and would u recommend this to any of ur friends? I am really doubtful about this or can u tell me more about this??

thank u.

It is understandable that every business do advertise. Some even can produce astronomical results. I read that someone from Indonesia got reaped 7000% profit from it. However, I don’t think that was solely on Clement’s teaching, if it did, that was only fragment of it. But hell, Clement would boast with that to enhance his brand name. I’m sure luck lady was on his side but how long will it last?

This kind of seminar reminds me of MLM(Multi Level Marketing)
The best thing they sell - is a dream (partial practical/partial impractical) and not the product or service(that is actually a by product)
What is the 1st idea that went into prospects mind when they heard of such course or products? The profit? The sure winning formula of getting things work?
It is a compelling human urge to success, a hope to try again.
The sounds of sweetness and a promising of hope that shines so bright~!
But how many really made it through in percentage? How they did it?
It is a mathematics game of possibilities. We all know some genius and some lucky men will make it through even though we know that the system only helps a bit.

Don’t you know that just few a testimonial out of hundreds failure will make success shines like God - that is why MLM flourish, that is why scam artist prevails, that is why many hopeful naive investor or prospects perished and leaving the finest of them all.

I had think of enrolling to it ….but after those insightful sharing from others sincere traders. I knew what my instinct tells me - forget it, there are better reference out there that I may learn. It is too risky to trust a person who had so much negative rumors. ‘无风不起浪‘

jmot Said,

i see ur rationale, jo2007.

just a point on MLM. i am not a MLM person, but know of friends and relatives doing MLM. i believe when MLM was introduced, it was out of kind intentions, as a novel means to push a new product to the market and at the same time providing incentives for ppl to market the product actively. and it is proven that MLM is more effective than traditional marketing or even advertising in some sense.

but i guess along the way, due to the lure of quick money, we get ppl trying to sell MLM schemes instead of the product…focus on recruiting members instead of focusing on the product…

Hi

Ask a good bank, what is a good return for one years investment ? Even banks told me anything more than 5% per year is consider good return.

As for % wise dun get yr eye blind , eg in fx if hit it right, can have 50% return due to margin only 2% lets say enter a trade of 100k usd the capital need only 2000usd, and profit 100 pips gains profit would be 1000usd , therefore returns are 50% ( hope i am right , pls correct me if im wrong )

another eg. if i trade using CFD trade 10 lots of SGX at 6.00, i need 20% to fiance this trade that is 12k instead of 60k, so let s say SGX went up till 7.00, i make total profit of 10k, and the % are ?? wah lah 83.33% but if the trade turn against u, at 5.00 at we lose 10K ??? so we have to learn how top place our cut loss and take the rewards (by the way i still suprise many old timers stock traders did not know using CFD can go short on the stockmarket )

I still strongly believed in learning TA, not following backbox and risk reward of an trade should have at least 1:2, those black box company, especailly with heavy advertised, are all blood suckers, have u ever wonder why so many brokers firm tied up with them ? when u sign up with them during the course, whatever u trade the school have a cut of it, and those so call voleteer mention(senior) they have no salary, hahah pls chk them out again are they paid by the brokers firm or in other ways……

By the way those who attend those black box company , can share yr sucess rate ????

hi 13monkey, i believe for most of us, we don’t measure returns based on margin. because as forex traders, we are to avoid margin call at all cost. getting slap with margin call is almost equal to losing the whole account! so typically we calculate return based on our stop loss amount. in this context, we can also measure our return based on our total account balance.

For now, I have just bought MetaStock and will get the package on Thurs. Will install it. I have also signed up for Advanced Technical Analysis held by cyberquote next week.

Btw jmot, thanks again for your blog. If not for your blog, I will have signed up for some blackbox system which i believe will not be beneficial in the long term. As the saying goes, Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune :)

as far i know from talking my friends, there are more students are not success, comparing with the success one. Well, I never do the offical polling, for the truth.
This is just personal opinion.
If there are persons who still want to sign up with T3B, I can not do anything about it. It is their rights.

Hi,

The probability best course you may consider is “Online Trading Academy”, which provide complete full education on all Financial Markets and Trading strategies, in forex, future and indices, oil futures, precious metals, soft commodities, stocks and options .

One of the veteran traders, Sam Seiden, whom has been trading for 2 decades in NYSE trading floor, currently provide training and also an full trader himself .

T3B is meant for beginners or novices whom have little or no experience in local stocks training but can be profitable, agreed that the downside, is that you are trading based on rules indicated in the softwares.

If one is able to be profitable, one can use the profit to go for this Online Trading Academy, to learn from the professional traders. During the training/course session, there are live trading session when how the instructors enter their trade.

The best part of the course is that there are many live trading session using real money from the instructors while students using their the virtual trading account to trade, the instructors and their assistants will help hand-guide the students how to enter and exit an trade, with explained and taught strategies based on reading and understanding the live charts.

The course itself may takes up to as long as 6 months and cost can be steep and may cost over 10k …..

If serious about trading, may consider this courses offer by Online Trading Academy …….

jmot Said,

hi Raymond, yes, i have read that the Online Trading Academy do have many veteran traders under its belt. Ed Ponsi is also a teacher with them. i have seen the course syllabus at the course website and it is very comprehensive indeed. are there charges for the live trading sessions after the course?

in my opinion, 10k for a 6 month course is reasonable if the course material is comprehensive and we are learning from REAL traders. i have paid some school fees to the market :-P, attended 4 courses (still less then a month’s duration if all added together), spend lots of time reading books, internet and figuring and filtering out the useful information. some of us may just go round and round the roundabout if there is no proper guidance.

Hi

This always how things work , those who lose never stand up or they shine away, or give up …..for the money spend in T#B, i have better place to aqquire trading education, i once hear with my own ears K_LINE is better than MACD and RSI……. very simple why dun all banks and brokers hse use the K-line ??? will u guys figure out ..

Any way my stand are dun throw money any how, i have being there before , go for PRICE BASE analyst instead of indicators , indicators helps in secondary , PRICE still the real trend ,for a start
for all learn support, resistant dun buy or sell on break out, most black box systems singal based on break out, or GAP up .

Just my two cents worth comments

Dear Amiza,

Trading is indeed a gambling game but this game allows us to find “edges” that improve our odds. I was a 55th batch of Freely and I am sorry to disappoint you but Clemen is a fraud. Real traders will be careful around earnings and some even avoid it totally as it is a total random event without any predictibility. Its real value is in being able to create the impression of fantastic returns that only benefits Clemen’s pocket. His PhD was from a degree mill known as Preston and I doubt his knowledge is grounded in reliable research as he portrays. Ask for his weekly trade log and results captured directly from the trading platform. I am sure you will be banned from his “support group” if you insist on it.

Do visit http://www.petitiononline.com/SGFR001 to see how many students have realized this. Do your homework and if you do agree with my view, then I urge you to submit a claim to CASE asap.

Dear Andrew,

I was from the 55th batch and I feel it was not worth it. Please warn your frens and peers. Some have made money using his method but only about 0.5%? And these students often bend his rules and got “lucky”. It is also unsure whether the results are repeated.

Visit http://www.petitiononline.com/SGFR001 to find out how students have been unhappy with his organization. He is dangerous because he creates unrealistic expectations and his method is as good as trying your luck at the lottery. You will be better off spending that money testing the market. He lacks integrity (Fake PhD) and Freely is only making himself rich and no one else. His 3 day course will involve 1.5 days of Clemen glorification.

All the best and hope you don’t fall prey like most of us have. There are a lot of students who would spit at Clemen’s face if we were to see it again. Spread the word, warn the public and get rid of that hypocritical crook. There was a group of 50+ students who are trying to get their money back from a recent batch but once the money is in Clemen’s pocket, you can forget about it.

You were saying about the Freely Preview and the course fee is RM6888, right? I Presume that you are from Malaysia and you have gone to the preview in Malaysia.

I was a Graduate from Clement Chiang Class in Singapore. Errm….. Well……. Mr Clement Chiang (Oop… or is it Dr Clement Chiang?) has sent all the freely Graduate an email some time ago saying something that he would be going oversea (USA) to pursue some MBA or kinda stuff and would not be in Singapore for a Looonng Looong .. time. So, now he is in Malaysia running his course in person? Well…. Well….. wonder how he can finish an MBA in such a “SHORT” time ….. and is now appearing in Malaysia trying to “HELP” people to achieve financial freedom? Guess you know I mean.

I would suggest that you take advice from nightfalc

mygif

Dear Spogger,

Not sure? But Clemen is a money crazy conscience missing scum so it would not surprise me that he has his filthy hands in some other business as long as it can fill his pockets with those green notes.

If you do realize he has his hand in it then I would warn the public of his involvement tooooo!!!!!! he is comparable to those china folks who put melanin in milk to pass protein tests / using toxic paint on toys juz coz it is cheaper… his motto is probably make money can liao… to hell with the rest of the world.

Clemen Chiang is dangerous because
1) He creates unrealistic expectations like turn 5K into 1 million in 2-3 years. Jmot(3 yrs), Tony Chai(5 yrs) after taking his freely course are still taking other trading courses and not millionaires. Doesn’t that tell you something.
2) He creates Big-Head Syndrome in ignorant trading newbies who blow their accounts up. I heard of one who borrowed 50K from a bank and blow himself up after getting his big head from you know who.
3) He teaches unsound trading methods like playing earnings gap where u lose everything if the stock gaps the other way or don’t move(ever heard of the Greek Vega). His repair strategy of creating a spread is even more risky.
4) There are other trading seminar sellers who sell unrealistic expectations and make 1 million dollars per seminar through ignorant newbies. All these are seminar sellers are dangerous and without conscience. Do they have no heart for people who are going to lose their life savings due to what they teach?
5) I hope Jesus Christ intervenes in the case of Freely. And other Fake Trading Seminar Sellers please go learn trading for another 5 years before teaching. And please add a 1 year post seminar support to your trading education programs.

Clemen case is just like Lehman Brothers case. Everything was package nice and it appeal to people. The promise of good returns etc etc…the “FEEL GOOD” experience it will give to people…etc etc

All now, when everything is expose, we all know Dr C is just a fake !!!

I heard that before the 49 students sue Dr C, 30 over students sue him as he got his students to teach. Our current law minister, K. SHANMUGAM represented the case and won but these students were given a writ not to expose Dr C case when they got refunded. However, news did leak out and 17 of them got sue by Freely.

Dr C case was heard again during last Friday papers when 49 studnets went to Small Claim Trubunal to get refund for his dubious claim of his qualification when it was expose in the Strait Times in August 2008

welll… the ball has started rolling and many are in the process of submitting their claims too! it is not so much my grievance but more of seeing justice served.

spoch… did not read the article but I guess it includes? depends on the details… not sure.

anyway, the newsasia forums had to stop our discussion group on claiming against Clemen but a private google discussion forum has been started. those interested in participating, you can email me at tanhanfung@hotmail.com.

“Dr” Clemen Chiang… if you are reading…

Looks like your hands are going to be full with the host of civil suits. but more importantly…. a number of your ex students will try their best to put you behind bars. so i hope you appeal all you can. once enough public attention is gained, you can teach the Singapore inmates how to live freely. but do be careful, unlike your current students, some of those inmates not necessarily will resort to legal means in resolving their grievance and dream on using your threats of defamation. their threats are going to be a lot bigger.

i have never seen a character like kishore. has a profile almost identical to clemen’s and dares to add oil to the fire of clemen’s situation? he should be just as weary about folks going after his a**.

The General Said,

Hi nightfalc, how is kishoe adding oil to clemen’s situation? I stumbled upon this blog by accident after visiting an identical blog which subject matter was on kishore instead.

Back in 2006 when options was still popular, I went for kishore’s options level 1 course. Fool that I was. Anyway, to cut the long story short, after the whole course, which was crammed into a 3 day 2 night thingy, I was still left with a lot of questions. Only after i did my own research online did i realize the course was sorely lacking. All the info which i got from the net was more comprehensive and i regretted paying 3k plus for the course.

Oh well, it was a lesson learned hard and well. The sore highlight was the fact that unlimited re-sits were included in the package which did not materialize at all. Not that it would have helped anyway. And all of us suckers, being newbies, also bought his stock email alerts which showed which stocks were trending up or down, once a week. My goodness, the email alerts were actually based on past performance! What a fool i was then.

Eventually decided to read up on the net and bought books for myself which at the very LEAST taught me the very fundamentals of options, basic TA and other stuff which i did not learn from paying 3k plus. Damn. And now it seems like kishore is riding on the forex wave as well. He’s just joining the bandwagon and advertising his forex courses. I just hope that people will think clearly and know that his advertisements are mainly hyperbole.

nightfalc Said,

well…. when the CNA forum was a buzz with Clemen discussion, kishore was trying to tell everyone that we should attend his course instead and he was actively publicizing Clemen’s plight as well.

In my opinion, one is just a pot and the other a kettle. They just want to earn our hard earned money. they are all just greedy wanna bes who have sold their soul to the piece of green paper and have lowered their character for it. I believe these individuals are going to have a hard time finding peace or happiness in their lives. maybe they do deserve our pity.

nightflac, the worst part is, kishore is always playing the religion card to appear honest and ethical. It just purely a marketing tool to get more “converts” to his seminars thats all. Doing that is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. What goes around comes around. For sure.

folks… there is a group of about 460 students gathered in a google group to discuss about actions against Clemen Chiang and Freely. You can email

tanhanfung@hotmail.com

to gain access and participate. To throw some perspective to the power of numbers, if each were to contribute S$100, we would already have S$40,000 at our disposal to hire a private lawyer for action against Clemen.

Is the system workable to make profit consistently for stocks trading as said by Keane Lee (80%) ? any of u ever sign up for his seminar which worth S$2600 ? Is it worth to spend the money for his seminar & the system ? Need opinion from all of you. Thx

Hi, Effendy

Most real professional trader has system with winning probability of about 60%. And for them, 60% winning probability is considered an A+ strategy.

A 80% probability is kinda too high in my opinion. I would not take up this course. Anyway, the key to become a profitable trader does not depend too much on the system. The emphasis is on psychology and money management.

This is my 2 cents thought. The decision still lies with you.

Hi guy…read a lot of “Dr” Clemen thing you all discussed. Actually I am doing some research on Mirriam MacWilliams 4 day course with cost about $7K. Well, if any kind souls there can advise how effective the course and worth this kind of money? after reading your comment, my 2nd thought is that Mirriam might make more $$ in conducting such course then trading.

Cheers….

Hi Amos

I have attended the course conducted by Michael Woo, think his course is value for money. The course covered options, stocks and single stock future. I am referring to the TFAL course, not the e-mini course. And it is definitely much affordable.

He himself is a good trader and is still actively trading. You may check up his website (http://www.tfal.com.sg/) for any preview.

And you can ask him to show you all his trade record on the preview day itself. Research on his credential and price and make a decision yourself.

hi amos, if you download my course comparison table, there is quite a good amount of details about Mirriam’s course. have you have prior experience in trading? why you choose to learn options? just curious

Hi Amos

It would not be nice if I am going to disclose his course fee here. But I can assure you that it is one of the most affordable fee you can find in town. Much much less than the rest of the course provider (I really mean it). On top of that, the coverage is wide (Stock, Options and Single stock future). And once you are a student, you can resit the course as many time as you like with no extra charge.

Though he did not teach Forex, but by understanding the general principle from his course and do some own reading on forex, I am able to trade forex with profit also.

My advice is that you go to his preview and ask him all the questions that you would like to know. Then you can make a better comparison with other courses and decide which one is good for you.

And while you are attending all other previews, do not fall into those marketing strategy where the presenter will say something like, “The course fee is XXXX and since you guys make the effort to come here, we will give a discount of yyyy and this discount is only valid for today.” They say this every time in their preview.

Hope this help.

HI Amos

Oh ya… by the way. I have re-sit his course 3 times. So, not to worry that this re-sit package will not be materialized as was experience by one of the commentor “The General” when he attended Kishore’s course.

And there is no software to or any email alert to be bought also.

hi sean thank for your info…sounded great.will look out for his next preview. bty, I would like to try out trading in option first. could you advise how to open an account? And is there a mock up trading in the real market?

sean Said,
June 17th, 2009 @12:11 pm

Hi Amos

I used the brokerage from US. Their commission are much cheaper than local one. You can open the account online. Here are some of the brokerage

Interactive Broker:
Good platform to use but charting software not beautiful. Minimum USD$10,000 deposit. Require minimum activity for every month or there will be inactivity charge. Commission very low (maybe lowest of all), very suitable for very active trader.

Think or Swim Inc
Good platform and charting software is beautiful. Minimum deposit is about USD3500-4000. No inactivity charge. Commission not bad. Service is excellent. Highly recommended for beginner.

If you are a beginner, you may try ThinkorSwim.

Trading options is much tougher than the stock. There is a lot of dimension to be considered, eg time value, implied volatility, delta, strike price. If you’re new to this instrument, you will really need to spend a lot of time to understand the in-and-out of this instrument.

It is not as easy as was claimed by some of the course vendor.

I agree with Jmot, have you really consider why would you like to give options a try?

For the past 3 months, i have been making about 30-50% monthly trading forex using mainly the macd daily indicator both buying and selling overbought or oversold positions . I do not use stop loss but trade very cautiously/conservatively. e.g For a deposit of USD 1000 and using leverage of 100, although i can trade up to 100,000 or 1 standard lot, i only put in a position of 1000(or less) per trade(or 0.1 mini lot) I will average in with another 1000 for loss of above 50 pips etc.
I trade using the oanda platform. I attribute my success mainly to the small size of the position that i put in and using the leverage of forex to add on to losing positions.

Hi mwyee,

your result is fantastic! thanks so much for sharing.

May i know if you change the parameter of MACD or you’re using the default setting? And also how do you define overbrought or oversold? Is there any guideline?

Would appreciate if you could help on these as im still trying to learning and improve my own trading. Thanks!

ladies and gentlemen…. something interesting has emerged. some students said that clemen would do the following during his “trade live with clemen” sessions….

1) He would buy up a huge quantity of an illiquid option before the
event.
2) He would place in a much higher ask price.
3) During the event (Bali Retreat / Options Championship), send an
order to buy at market the particular option to all his students.
4) Make shit loads of money and students realize immediate losses.

If you have been “victim” or had experience in this matter, we would like to hear from you. This is a mere allegation at the moment but is worth investigation. Please email tanhanfung@hotmail.com to provide information.

Other things worth considering are:

1) Does Singapore legislation allow Clemen to dispatch such specific financial advise without being registered with the appropriate bodies? If he has broken this law, we might be able to have additional ammo to whack him.

Hasn’t Clemen Chiang been proven to be a cheat? He does not have a legitimate PhD from an accredited university. It was reported in the Straits Times. Maybe jmot might want to change glowing review that was given? I think Mr CC not Dr CC is important as people need to know the truth before they get conned.

so just where is Mister Clemen Chiang now? Has he re-surfaced in another country.

I would advise caution about people promising to make others wealthy when THEY themselves arent wealthy and are using the process of making others ‘rich’ to make THEMSELVES rich. WIth over 50 intakes, a workshop leader could pull in millions and the truly say ” I made my wealth through [ insert competency, skill or business] here “. Such hogwash.

was talking to a psychologist that day and she said that a lot of these “gurus” use techniques taught in their professional studies in an unethical manner to gain commercial advantage from the masses… these techniques are hypnosis and embedded commands. NLP is also a powerful tool that can be subject to abuse.

The main distinction that one must be aware of is the intention of the person wielding the tools. These gurus just want to make fast money and have no checks in place with regards to conduct. Whereas a psychologist that has gone through a comprehensive study that involved ethics before technique knows its power and is subject to professional review if it is known that they abuse their skill and their patient’s confidence.

so the next time you think about going for a Rara seminar by Anthony Robbins / Success Resources / etc etc, BUYER TRULY BEWARE!!!!!!!!! now do you know why the SELL SELL SELL at the end of all their programs? coz they have gotten you in their mental “sweet spot” where you will SPEND SPEND SPEND.
