My apologies for this drought of blog posts. I was affected by the recent Hand-Foot-Mouth-Disease (HFMD) epidemic in Singapore. Well, my Joy was the one who was affected. Luckily, it was a benign strain. As we overcome the challenges, I could sense exciting stuff coming our way!
Yes, I gave an overview on the awesome meetup by ck the last time round. Do also check out a new forum that he had started that discusses expert advisors (EAs). Who knows, you might find your money making machine there! And yes! I promised to share the more promising EAs that were shared during the meetup session.
First of all, let’s look at the free stuff. The Firebird EA is a promising one. I am running forward testing on the v63g version at the moment. In the beginning, I started to run 2 versions, namely, v63g and v065tf. The v065tf version almost wiped out my entire $10,000 demo account in a matter of a few days! Only the v63g version is surviving at the moment. Testing before running any EA live is key!
Commercial EAs with higher potential that were mentioned include: EA Shark, Pipforia and Pointbreak. The last 2 EAs are worth special mention because they claim to adopt sound money management algorithms that results in 45 degree up, up and away equity and draw-down graphs. I have downloaded the 30-day demo version of Pointbreak and is currently running it to see the results for myself. There is always this psychological barrier for letting software manage my money. Perhaps this is because I am in the IT line. I know a software’s limitation. And, I am working on picking up the knowledge on the amazing results that sound money management practices can bring about.
Thanks to ck again, helping us to narrow down to some of the more sound EAs. These EAs are a good place to start.
