This blog is going to celebrate its 1-year anniversary next month. Time flies
What have I got most out of this blog?
Friendship
I have made lots of friends through my blog, many of whom are trading enthusiast (or going to be). And I feel great when my articles had helped you in one way or another.
What keeps you going?
Friendship…and trading. Seriously, through this blog, I experience what it meant by “the best way to learn is to teach”. This blog provides me with an avenue to share my views and insights on trading as well as for me to learn from my readers.
What’s next?
Just as learning how to trade is a continuous journey, I seek to share the trading knowledge that I have picked up along my trading journey in a digestible way. jmot’s blog shall continue to help fellow aspiring traders to overcome initial barriers when embarking on the journey to learn how to trade.
I thought it is timely as well to share the way that readers, old and new, can connect with this blog:
- Key posts - For new readers, I have consolidated some of my key posts to start you off.
- Bookmark it - simply bookmark jmot’s blog or set it as their homepage so that every time they log on they see the latest post.
- RSS Feed - is a way that people follow what goes up on the blog. This technology lets you subscribe to my blog and be notified of updates on a variety of tools such as Google’s ‘Reader’ tool, iGoogle, MyYahoo, Netvibes, Bloglines and many other news aggregators and feed readers. If you want to use these to subscribe to jmot’s blog you’ll need to add this feed. I have written about using Netvibes to read over 30 blogs in 15 min here!
- Email Updates - if you don’t use RSS you can still get updates sent to you when there is a new blog post by subscribing to our feed via email. You can do this by entering your email under “Receive an email to inform you about new blog posts!” at the right-hand column.
- Blog Comments - if you have any opinion or feedback about my blog posts, do not hesitate to leave me a comment by clicking on the blog title or on the comments button on the bottom-right-hand corner of every post.
- Social Bookmarking - The last way that people are using to keep track of the latest posts on jmot’s blog is via a variety of social bookmarking tools. You’ll notice at the bottom of every post on the blog that there are the links “Digg it”, “Bookmark it”, “Stumble it” and “Float it”. You can click on one or more of the links to bookmark the post. In bookmarking the posts you have a way of finding them later when you need them but you also spread the news about jmot’s blog a little and help jmot’s blog continue to grow.
- Singapore Aspiring Traders’ Facebook Group - is another growing part of jmot’s blog. I am adopting the Facebook group as a platform for my readers to interact. You can join the group to start discussions, post links, photos and videos.
- Email jmot - of course, there is still our good old email. Drop me an email anytime!
Meanwhile, enjoy reading jmot’s blog!
If you find this post or this blog is helpful to you in any way...do consider buying jmot a kopi (aka coffee)!
