Yes, I am
If I trace it through, it is also this blog that led to me having an opportunity to speak in front of a crowd of 140+ in SGX auditorium on the Automated Forex Trading Meetup on 5 Feb 2009
alongside one of Asia youngest forex trading educator, Mr Choo Koon Lip. He is really one heck of a guy, being so successful at such a young age. He selflessly shared a good glimpse of his trademark Forex Strategy Creation method, which I think many of our members got out of his presentation a money-making idea or two. I was honoured to have a picture taken together with Koon Lip and my fellow Meetup organisers (I was in pink
)
Talking about this Meetup group, since I have been helping out with the meetups (4 so far) since its inception, I have witnessed the community growing closer. Thanks to ck, founder of the Meetup group, now we have a good community of traders locally that meet up fairly regularly to share knowledge and network. This meeting up regularly at no cost to the our members has been made possible for the last few meetups courtesy of our invited speakers, who sponsored the venue. ck mentioned that future meetups shall also go on this mode.
So there will be sharing by established traders and it is no longer just about automated trading. We have topics on manual trading and semi-automated trading (aka Cyborg Trading) as well.
And we made it clear to our invited speakers that no hard selling is allowed, just plain vanilla sharing of knowledge. I think so far we have gotten really quality sharing from our invited speakers, from the likes of Mr Clarence Chee (from T3B forex) and Mr Choo Koon Lip (from Forex Asia Academy). They even offer discounts to their courses specially for our members!
As for this blog, these are some of the things in store (or rather in my head):
- I will be seeking for guest authors, certainly for related topics only.
- Interviews of local successful traders?
- More sharing from Yours Truly as I tread along the path to be a profitable trader!
So stay tuned! And happy pipping!
